Once we first encounter Benoit Blanc within the film, he is having a shower upstairs and enjoying Amongst Us over Zoom with Stephen Sondheim, Angela Lansbury, Natasha Lyonne, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar – as you do. So, when the doorbell rings, it is a man referred to as Phillip who solutions the door, performed by Hugh Grant.
Hugh’s cameo prompted journalists at a press convention on the London Movie Competition to ask whether or not Benoit is “queer”, to which Rian replied, “Sure, he clearly is”. Here is hoping Hugh has an even bigger half in Knives Out 3, and we get to see the couple on display collectively!
